After we have all the answers… What comes next?

Multiverse, the matrix, time, infinity.  Can we ever know all there is to know about experiencing consciousness within the external reality we were born into?  Will there ever come a day when we no longer feel the need to search for something new and undiscovered?  Will we ever reach the point when we are truly able to accept our insignificance within the scheme of things to such a degree that we realize our destiny is way beyond anyone’s control?  Will we ever comprehend the understanding that says there is no greater purpose to our lives than what we already experience?  In short, will we ever stop searching to find what lies over the next horizon and the next after that?

Curiosity is an interesting part of the human psyche.  It lays somewhere on top of the fundamental programming that directs us to seek pleasure and avoid pain.  It drives us to search the unknown in the hope that doing so will prove beneficial.

Will computers eventually understand us more that we understand ourselves?  Of course they will.  And what will they do when they know what makes us tick?  Will that give them some insight into themselves and their far superior capacities to understand?  Will computers ever reach a point where they see no need to expand their consciousness far beyond anything we could ever hope to understand?  In other words, is there a point where it becomes pointless to advance further?

So what’s left for us after we achieve all our dreams?

Will computers ever feel the need to commit suicide?
