The march towards utopia

One would have to be blind not to see that the human race is headed on the inevitable path towards globalization.  Nations will fall and so will religion as old worn out ideas are replaced with new better ideas.  Ideas and understandings that suddenly become as plain as the noses on our faces like let’s stop wasting so much money and resources on armies since we won’t need them anymore.  Suddenly the whole world will find that all the money we used to spend on defense is now available to spend on bettering the lives of everyone.  Where unbridled capitalism is replaced with a new priority of figuring out how we are going to have fun and lead more fulfilling lives.  Where violence towards each other becomes a distant memory of uncivilized, unjust societies whose only trace is in a museum.

As we put our hope in ideas that all-powerful gods will somehow save us from the oblivion of nothingness, we fail to realize that if anyone has the power to save us, it will be our great, great, great, great grandsons and granddaughters.  They are the ones who will develop new technologies able to bridge time and space and reach back to capture the informational elements that once made us who we were.  They will have the power to reconstitute us into new fit bodies whose eyes flicker open to behold a new day in a new world.  One we never expected to see.  So many questions and so much time to find the answers.

One of my first questions will be, when did they find a cure for conservatism?

ELO All over the world…
